Jacopo Barbotti

Born in Legnano in 2006, Jacopo Barbotti is one of the emerging prospects of Italian swimming. His journey began in the swimming pool of his hometown, where a passion born when he was a child gradually developed into a sporting project built day by day through determination, discipline, and sacrifice.

After starting out as a backstroke swimmer, Jacopo found his true dimension in the individual medley events, a discipline that demands versatility and balance. His development has been marked by frequent moves and logistical changes, which he has faced with maturity and resilience in a context that is not always easy for athletes aiming to compete at the highest level.

Following his success in the junior ranks, he confirmed his talent among the senior swimmers in 2026 by winning four medals at the Italian Spring National Championships in Riccione. He now trains in Rome with Circolo Canottieri Aniene and sees the European Championships in Paris as the next chapter in a career that ambitiously aims to establish itself on the international stage as well.
