Giacomo Gentili
Giacomo Gentili, World Champion and Olympic silver medalist in the quadruple sculls at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, embodies the strength and excellence of Italian rowing.
Born in Cremona and originally passionate about rugby, he was introduced to rowing by his father. Falling in love with the sport — and with the sense of freedom offered by the River Po — Giacomo soon discovered his natural talent and chose to nurture it at the Piediluco College, where he had the opportunity to study and train under the guidance of Agostino Abbagnale, his lifelong role model.
As a stroke rower with extraordinary physical power and an innate ability to find perfect rhythm with his teammates, Giacomo turns every race into a masterpiece of technique and endurance.
