Zaynab Dosso

Born in Man, Côte d’Ivoire, in 1999, Zaynab Dosso – known to everyone as “Za” – is now one of the world’s leading sprint athletes.

She moved to Italy at the age of ten to reunite with her family after spending her early childhood with her grandmothers in her home country. She discovered athletics at thirteen and, just a few years later, obtained Italian citizenship. From that moment on, her career has been on a steady rise, leading her to become the fastest Italian woman in history and the Italian record holder in both the 60m indoor and the 100m. Competing for the Fiamme Azzurre, she claimed gold in the 60m at the 2026 World Indoor Championships in Toruń and the 2025 European Indoor title, adding to a total of six medals across World and European Championships.

Courage, determination, and resilience define her journey. She approaches every challenge with the awareness that, before being a champion, she is a person who has never stopped chasing her dreams.
