INFORMATION

Caterina is an Italian sailor sailing under the banner of the Circolo Canottieri Aniene. As well as being reigning Olympic, World and European Champion in the Nacra 17 category with Ruggero Tita, she also won the prestigious Rolex World Sailor of the Year award in 2022. She is also a sporting intellectual who graduated in Islamic Studies and an activist fighting to defend the world’s oceans.

The sea gives me a sense of freedom. In a boat, surrounded by nature, you’ve got to push your physical and mental limits. The sea and the wind can be your friends, but also your foes. Ours is a sport that always puts you on the line and throws new challenges at you, every day.
